Ice skating on a pond is one of the classic winter memories and an allegory for the season. Reaching back to the the 1950s and before, seen in classics like Peanuts.

This year the Frog Pond will be starting it’s ice skating on November 22nd with hours of

  • Mon 10AM-4PM
  • Tue-Thu 10AM-9PM
  • Fri-Sat 10AM-10PM
  • Sun 10AM-9PM

The Frog Pond has an admission fee based on height, 58-inches and over: $5.00 and under 58-inches: free.

They have plenty of skate rentals available in a large range of sizes 8T to a men’s 15 skate. The skate rentals are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids.

Lockers are $2.00 and if you have your own skates you can get them sharpened at $8.00 per pair.

However all this is dependent on the weather which has been much warmer this year, so make sure to watch/follow the weather reports of your favorite weatherperson in the Boston area such as Danielle Vollmar to keep up to date on the weather and if the Frog Pong becomes frozen.

Also of note is that the Frog Pond is also the space or an annual Cosplay Ice Skating in Boston, so you’ll see plenty of colorful costumes from some fan favorite comics, anime, and video games. We’ll let you know of this too.
